- Married Mary ?. Supposedly no children. Supposedly, when Leopold went out to Ohio to the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home, Willie went with him. OR --- maybe that is where Williw already was. Found William in 1910, 1920 & 1930 census. Need to access images for 1910 & 1920. In 1930 he and Mary are living in St. Louis. Their home is rented. He is working as a laborer in a paint factory. Mary is at home. William is 54, Mary 63. William was 29 and she was 38 at the time of their marriage. Need to find if there were children, or if she had children by a prior marriage. Found Willie's WWI draft registration card. At that time, living in Chicago. DOB check.s. Copy difficult to read, but gives occupation as Wisconsin Steel Mill. NOK is Mrs. Mary Trost. He is drescribed asshort, stout, brown hair and black eyes. According o Billie Compton, he and Mary had no children and she was an alcoholic.
