  Catherine Barger married George turnery 1 aug., 1803 in Hawkins Co., Tn. There was a bond dated aug, 24, 1803, for $1,250.00, made by Henry Turney in behalf of his son, George, for his marriage. It is not signed "Henry Turney", but says "signed in Dutch" (made his mark) 14. This info is in her bounty land application. Catherine's Will is recorded in DeKalb co, TN Will Book 1859. 39-2-309, Catherine Barger Turney applied for Bounty Land in late 1850. She and George moved to Smith Co., TN to Clear Forks, around 1804-1805. Henry Turney, along with hi8s sons, made the move, as well. Their land would later fall in DeKalb Co., TN. Catherine's application also states taht her husband died at home, octt 13, 1821.
